My Garden, My Sanctuary 🌱
I absolutely LOVE growing as much of my own food as I can! It's become my happy place, my little green escape. 🌿 With all these new chemicals like Apeel being slapped onto more and more of our fruits and veggies 🍎🥕, I just can't shake the feeling that it's not entirely safe. There are NO long-term studies on the product itself, but guess what? There ARE long-term studies on some of its chemical ingredients, and shockingly, some of them are known carcinogens! 😱 Yikes!
I hear this all the time: "I don't have room or time for a garden!" But here's the secret: you can grow SO much in pots on a porch! Seriously! Think all your favorite herbs 🪴, juicy tomatoes 🍅, vibrant peppers 🌶️, sweet carrots 🥕, earthy potatoes 🥔, and so much more! And for the "no time" excuse? Watering pots filled with healthy, delicious food takes no more time than watering your houseplants. 💧 Might I just gently point out how many people diagnosed with something like cancer will tell you, with tears in their eyes, that they wish they had taken the time to prioritize their health and what they put into their bodies! It's a wake-up call, for sure. Your health is precious, and a little bit of gardening can go a long way! 💪
